Net Neutrality

I don’t understand people.

It’s cool for 4chan to attack the Church of Scientology and many other sites. It’s cool for them to reveal private information on the people they target. But it’s not cool when AT&T blocks them. Which they only did to protect 4chan from denial-of-service attacks.

The ISP that is deemed “evil and censoring content” had no malicious intent.

Beginning Friday, an AT&T customer was impacted by a denial-of-service attack stemming from IP addresses connected to To prevent this attack from disrupting service for the impacted AT&T customer, and to prevent the attack from spreading to impact our other customers, AT&T temporarily blocked access to the IP addresses in question for our customers. This action was in no way related to the content at; our focus was on protecting our customers from malicious traffic.

Overnight Sunday, after we determined the denial-of-service threat no longer existed, AT&T removed the block on the IP addresses in question. We will continue to monitor for denial-of-service activity and any malicious traffic to protect our customers.

I’m quite sick of this “Fight Club” mentality. Do people know that blowing up a building is illegal? That harassment is a crime? That posting private information without permission is punishable by law? Do they know how much influence and power a telecom like AT&T is? A bunch of pre-adolescent losers sitting at home with nothing better to do.

I don’t support this crap.I hate people using “we” as if it stands for every one of us on the Internet. Use “4chan” instead as to only include people that are delusional enough to believe such things.
